Cinemo And Lippert Embedded Computers Announce Technical Collaboration
High definition video with very low CPU load now a reality with Lippert and Cinemo embedded solutions
26 April 2010, Karlsruhe, Germany – Lippert Embedded Computers, a leading global provider of modular, rugged, high quality, embedded computing solutions for OEM and Systems Integrator applications, will preview their CoreExpress-ECO product at the ESC Silicon Valley event utilizing Cinemo’s embedded multimedia playback technology.
ESC, which takes place at the McEnery Convention Centre San Jose between the 26th and 29th of April, is the industry’s primary embedded systems event bringing together the largest community of designers, technologists, business leaders and suppliers all in one place.
Based on Intel’s Atom Processor family Z5xx and US15W chipset, the Lippert CoreExpress-ECO is the smallest computer-on-module available in the market today. Designed for extended temperature use, CoreExpress-ECO has exceptional advantages in situations such as digital signage and other outdoor applications.
Cinemo Media Engine™ is a powerful embedded multimedia player supporting all popular disc, audio and video file formats. All performance-critical components are hand optimized to ensure the fastest and most reliable playback experience. Enabling simultaneous playback of multiple HD streams in all popular formats including high profile H.264, Cinemo Media Engine™ offers an unrivalled level of video performance with ultra low power consumption.
“With stunning full screen picture quality in both Linux and Windows environments, Cinemo and Lippert offer a compelling platform for multi-media applications where low power consumption is a must” said Richard Lesser, CEO of Cinemo. “The combination of the hardware accelerated graphics engine integrated in the Lippert module and Cinemo’s distinctive ability to take full advantage of Intel’s video hardware acceleration, make this all possible on Lippert’s CoreExpress.”
“Lippert’s unique module solution is an industry first and we are very confident that even in the most demanding installation conditions, the critical needs of our multi-media customers can be met when combined with the Cinemo media stack” says Peter Lippert CEO of Lippert Embedded Computing. “We look forward to welcoming ESC visitors to our booth for a comprehensive demonstration.”
