Position Description
We are currently seeking an experienced (Principal) Product Architect SaaS/IoT to lead the design and evolution of our cloud-based combined software-as-a-service (SaaS) and IoT offerings. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the architecture of our products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless user experiences. Responsibilities
- Spearhead the architectural design and development of our SaaS/IoT products and lead our group of Software Architects professionally
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions
- Improve collaboration of the different functions such as development, quality assurance, devops and software security and foster transparency in our product area.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate cloud services, tools, and technologies to optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of our offerings
- Define and enforce best practices for security, performance, and maintainability in SaaS product development together with our Engineering Management team
- Mentor and guide development teams, emphasizing best practices in Golang, JavaScript, React, GRPC, and IoT based communication protocols within the SaaS context
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance our product architecture
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a SaaS Product Architect with a focus on technologies like Golang, JavaScript, React, GRPC and IoT based communication protocols
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP or Oracle Cloud
- In-depth knowledge of SaaS product architectures, microservices, microfrontends and containerization
- Familiarity with IoT frameworks and protocols, e.g. MQTT, is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable SaaS/IoT solutions
- Excellent English communication and leadership skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous
